Listings : Frequently Asked Questions
Is there any cost to list in the Government Contract Database?
There is no fee for accessing the Contract Database.
How many Government Contract Database listings can I have?
There is no limit to the number of listings you can have. However, each listing can have
a maximum of five picture or file attachments.
Can I update Government Contract Database listings?
BidCorp.com prefers that you end your contract listing, and create a new one rather than edit it.
What happens if the vendor does not honor the contract they have with the listing member
The contract that is in our database is between the entities that sign it (the listing member and the vendor). Sometimes a vendor will not wish to honor their contractual deal with you. Reasons for this may include geographical concerns for delivery, or availability and a variety of other issues. In this case, you may have to move on to the next best contract in the database. To avoid this from happening, many government contracts name the public entities that the vendor will honor their terms with. We encourage you to add such language to all of your contracts..
How do I make shipping and payment arrangements?
You need to make your payment and shipping arrangements directly with the vendor on the contract you are working from. The order that you place is not transacted at the BidCorp.com website. You need to initiate and execute your order by the email or phone number provided. BidCorp.com will periodically send out a questionnaire asking you to detail your use of our Government Contract Database.
What if I can't find the appropriate category?
Please contact us, we will be happy to work with you and set up any additional categories you may need. We are working to develop a thorough category list, without redundancy, which will make it easy for our members and bidders to find appropriate listings.
How do I upload additional documentation to supplement my Government Contract Database listing?
When you create the listing Step 5 allows you to upload 5 files located on your PC. The files will be automatically uploaded to our server when you click the "Upload" button. These files will then be available for other Listing Members to download when they view the Government Contract Database. These files can be in any format, but we recommend using files types which are widely used and which can be read by other Listing Members. BidCorp.com recommends using the Adobe Portable Format (PDF) file type and we provide a link to download the PDF reader if a vendor does not already have this free software.
How will other public entities know when I have posted an Government Contract Database?
They will be able to find your Government Contract Database by using our category listings or by doing a search. In the future we will also have listings organized by public entity or purchasing association.
Can I upload any file format when creating my Government Contract Database listing?
We strongly encourage the use of a universal document format. For pictures of items being added to the Government Contract Database, please use the .gif or .jpeg formats. They greatly reduce the size of the file, and allow for faster viewing by bidders. This will also ensure that all vendors downloading your Government Contract Database listing
will have the software to read it. The most commonly used file format on www.BidCorp.com is Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format. Adobe Acrobat is
for sale at www.Adobe.com and most computer or office retail stores. The Adobe Acrobat Reader is a free download for anyone, and there
are links to the download area in the appropriate places on the www.BidCorp.com website.
